A quick comparison in tabs. Each tab covers the key questions.
OkiOki Start is designed for e-invoicing.
You create and send e-invoices in UBL and receive e-invoices via the Peppol network. Each e-invoice is automatically saved to your digital archive and shared with your accountant straight away.
You create an invoice in the official UBL format. OkiOki then sends it via Peppol. Incoming e-invoices land directly in your archive.
Because e-invoices are not edited, the exact same file reaches both the sender and the recipient in the same format.
E-invoices are shared with your accountant in real time and stored centrally in your archive.
This means you both work from the same document, without extra email attachments or back-and-forth.
Start does not automatically collect PDF invoices, till receipts, or invoices that come in via download links from your inbox or supplier portals. If you want those documents collected automatically as well, you will need Smart.
For anyone who mainly works with e-invoices, or wants to start e-invoicing in a structured way. You meet the requirements for B2B e-invoicing, without extra connections or collection steps.
In OkiOki Start, a fair use policy applies: 250 documents in total (incoming and outgoing combined).
If you regularly go above that volume, Smart is usually a better fit.
Identical documents received more than once are grouped automatically and only counted once.
OkiOki Smart includes everything in Start and goes further: it also collects documents that are not e-invoices, such as PDFs and till receipts.
This helps you and your accountant keep a supporting document for each document and transaction. Your records stay complete and up to date, covering both e-invoices via Peppol and the documents that still fall outside e-invoicing today.
You connect your inbox. OkiOki searches based on your VAT number and picks up each invoice that comes in: as an attachment, via a download link, or as an email that itself serves as the invoice.
Once your inbox is connected, each invoice is collected automatically and shared in real time with your digital archive and your accountant. There is nothing you need to search for or upload.
Identical files are automatically deduplicated and only counted once.
Possible duplicates are grouped so you can confirm whether they refer to the same document. If you upload the same file by mistake, it will not be counted twice.
For anyone who receives PDFs, till receipts, or documents from supplier portals alongside e-invoices, and does not want to collect them manually.
Smart is useful if your inbox is an important source and you do not want to miss anything. This helps you keep supporting evidence for each transaction and keep your records in order throughout the year.
Start focuses on e-invoicing via Peppol (creating, sending, and receiving e-invoices in UBL) and automatically stores and shares them with your accountant.
Smart does that too, and also automatically collects documents that are not e-invoices (such as PDFs and till receipts), so your records stay complete.
Choose Start if you mainly work with e-invoices (or want to start e-invoicing) and you receive little to nothing via email, download links, or portals.
You meet the requirements for B2B e-invoicing, and everything is stored and shared automatically with your accountant.
Choose Smart if you also receive PDFs, till receipts, or documents from portals.
Smart automatically picks them up from your inbox (based on your VAT number), stores them, deduplicates identical files, and shares everything in real time with your accountant. This helps you keep supporting documents for each transaction, and your records stay complete and up to date.
In both options, you send and receive e-invoices via Peppol in UBL. Documents are automatically stored in your digital archive and shared with your accountant.
The difference is the automatic collection of non-e-invoice documents: that is only included in Smart.
Not every invoice is an e-invoice yet. With Start, you are covered for e-invoicing. With Smart, you also capture PDFs and till receipts. You can always switch later (if you work through an accounting firm, it is worth checking with your accountant).
Fair use in Start: Start has a fair use limit of 250 documents in total (incoming and outgoing combined). If your volume is higher, Smart is usually the better fit.
Bank connection (read-only): OkiOki can only view your bank account. We do not make any payments. We only read transactions. The bank connection is independent from choosing Start or Smart.
Short FAQ in 3 questions.
Default: your document limit runs in 30-day periods, starting from your registration date. At the end of each period, your counter resets automatically.
Through your accountant: if you work via an accounting firm, the limit depends on the agreement with your firm and may vary. In many cases, the counter resets on the first day of the month.
